Our role as a brand is to highlight the know-how of our craftsmen in the hat industry, because it is important to preserve these companies and protect the talents that are being lost today in France.

To manufacture our hats, we had to call on various know-how in textiles, molding, metal… Each person involved was carefully selected with a concern for quality and respect for work. We exchanged, laughed, shared our knowledge, and now work together every day to build the story of Atelier Donoma.

Millinery

The factory that we have selected for the molding of the felt is already working for designers and their reputation is well established. Located in France, in the Pays de la Loire region, it is one of the last French companies specializing in this field and has been working since 1904 to pass on their heritage and know-how by offering high quality manufacturing.

Materials

We take special care in the choice of materials and the selection of colors to offer softness and durability. For the manufacture of our wool or hair felts, we get our supplies from a Portuguese company, leader on the European market. It also supplies the biggest fashion houses. Unfortunately, we could not supply us in France because you should know that the last company manufacturing felt cones closed in 2018. But our approach remains to supply ourselves as close to home as possible.
